Mission
The Alliance for Children is dedicated to providing
high quality, ethical social work services to
advance its principal goal of serving the world
community's waiting children. The fundamental
principle underlying the work of the Alliance
for Children is that all children have a right
to a permanent, loving family of their own. The
Alliance for Children is committed to putting
this principle into action in four primary ways:
- By providing a full range of adoption
services to children, birth families, and adoptive
parents in order to secure permanent, loving homes
for the children;
- By offering financial assistance to
childcare institutions to improve the living standards
of children awaiting placement and of children
for whom placement in an adoptive family is not
a possibility;
- By educating client families and the public
about all aspects of adoption through lifelong
training, support, information, and referrals;
and
- By advocating for older children and
children with special needs who could benefit
from placement in adoptive homes.
