"Thank you for being the miracle matchmakers that you are. I guess my imagination was never vivid enough to envision the vivacious, impish, happy soul that Michael is, or the dark-eyed, independent beauty that Sarah is..."

Procter & Gamble Contributes $50,000 to Alliance for Children Foundation
Dec. 1, 2007 - Wuzhou P & G Sunbeam Village Opened!
On December 1st, 2007, a new foster care "village" opened in Wuzhou, China. This project provides apartments for Chinese foster parents to live with groups of 5 orphans (most of whom have special needs) as stable families. It is modeled after the very successful Sunbeam Village project in Hefei that has been supported by the AFC Foundation for 5+ years, and was made possible by a generous $50,000 donation from Proctor & Gamble’s Live, Learn and Thrive Global Cause. Visit our Wuzhou P & G Sunbeam Village project page to see photos of the new families and to read the first inspiring report on how these orphans, previously institutionalized, are now thriving in their new family setting.

Purchase a car and support the Foundation!
As a proud supporter of the Alliance for Children, Ray Ciccolo will donate $250 to the Alliance for every car you purchase, or for any person you refer to one of his Village Automotive dealerships. See our adoption news page for more info.

Read Our Stories

In Loving Memory of Xiao Fu - Alliance is very sad to note that Chinese orphan Xiao Fu, who has been profiled on our web site (after meeting President Bush and Secretary Rice), passed away on July 7th, 2008, after suffering from a long illness.

Xiao Fu was an inspirational individual and touched many lives around the world. Please visit our Help a Child page if you wish to make a donation in his memory; all gifts will be used to help the orphans at his Hefei orphanage in China and to support the group he founded, Rights into Action for Disabled Youth, in Hefei.
