Welcome
to the Alliance for Children!
What does it take
to adopt a child?
Flexibility. Openness. A readiness to parent.
Most prospective parents are eager to love a child
but have concerns about adoption. That's where
we come in. At Alliance, we begin with attentive
listening - this allows couples or singles ample
time to explore, state preferences, and think
about their choices.
Adoption is the intentional act of creating a
family. It happens through a step-by-step process
that is its own enriching experience. At Alliance,
we place over 200 children a year and have done
so for over 30 years. Our size allows us to take
a personal interest in your family. Our experience
enables us to find the child that is right for
you.
The Alliance For Children, Inc., is a private,
nonprofit adoption agency licensed since 1974
by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the state
of Rhode Island. Since 1974, we've been placing
children from the United States and around the
world in permanent adoptive homes. We provide
complete adoption services to applicants within
Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and South Carolina.
Throughout the United States, we provide placement
services for applicants who have completed a local
homestudy. We also work closely with other international
adoption agencies, allowing us to find the right
child for you through a cooperative network.
Adoption creates change for the better. For the
children, for the parents, and for all of us who
work with the orphanages and birthmothers. It
takes a deliberate act of will to say yes to adoption.
If you can take the first step, you may one day
find yourself looking back in wonder at all you
have since become.
